It's a common theme that trainers get started in this industry due to issues with one of their dogs. That was certainly the case for me. My dog Ogi came into my life years ago and at that time I didn't know anything about dog behavior or psychology. When we introduced him into the house, with two other dogs, we did everything wrong.  We didn't have a plan, we just thought we could wing it and it would be fine.  Well it wasn't fine and it led to a 4-week board and train.  I mention this because I have been there.  I had a serious issue on my hands that had to be addressed.  Through that process I learned a lot about dogs, but I had so much more to learn.

 

Working with dogs became my focus and I decided to pursue training full-time. I left my career in corporate finance with the goal to help families with dogs like Ogi, stay in their home.  I gained a ton of hands on experience running the daily operations of a dog training & boarding facility, along with being the lead trainer, which allowed me to work with awesome dogs and families.  I expanded my education on dog behavior by attending Cesar Millan's Foundation Seminar, Sean O'Shea's E-collar Shadow Program and returned again for his Aggressive Dog Shadow Program, in addition to attending Linn Boyke's Awareness Program which focuses on dog psychology at the most granular level.  It has been a privilege learning from these amazing leaders in the industry.

Helping dogs and their families is my goal.  Teaching people to speak the language of dogs makes the dog/owner relationship stronger and by learning this you will be on your way to a fulfilled life with your dog.
